testing and cutting ball joints by the Red Man

Hi all,

a while ago i saw here a topic that the Red man (Marcel) post a picture when he cut a few ball joints for illustration and proof in the differents of ball joints.
Someone know a thread to this topic? I can not find anymore!!
And also someone know a good brand of ball jonts for the Kat A1.1 or (and) is this the same like for the Kat1??
The original from MAN is 166 euro a piece,looks me a lot of money, on the internet i see prices from 18euro or less!
And is it not possible to drill a hole or Tig welding a nut for a grease nipple? Because I like to have control and information about the condition of my vehicle!))

if you buy chep: you might need a new KAT. He mentions a Scania unit, that failed quite early during reversing in the yard.
